Redcort Software today released Virtual TimeClock Pro 5.0.4, a maintenance update to its award winning employee time and attendance software. Virtual TimeClock takes the work out of tracking worker hours, overtime and leave.

Virtual TimeClock 5.0.4 is a free update for all Virtual TimeClock 5 users. This release provides enhanced printing and improved program stability for users on all supported platforms. Version 5.0.4 contains the following fixes and enhancements:

•  Enhanced timecard and report viewing and printing. Previewing and/or printing on Windows based computers no longer errors if the page setup information supplied by Windows is corrupted.

•  Previewing reports and timecards is now available even if the computer does not have a printer installed or properly setup. 

•  Duplicate user passwords are no longer allowed when saving or updating a user record. Any imported or duplicate user passwords from a prior Virtual TimeClock release are reported at program startup.

•  Windows 98 client TimeClocks now automatically discover the TimeClock server just like all other clients.

•  Timecards once again properly totals the last completed entry when the worker is still clocked in (broken in 5.0.3).

•  Mac OS 10.2.x no longer stalls the Setup Assistant when entering in the Payroll Period setup section.

•  The Setup Assistant no longer errors at completion under Mac OS 9 if the company name is longer than 31 characters.

•  Workers with thousands of entries no longer receive a record set error when starting and stopping work.

•  Manually resizing columns in the main TimeClock window no longer displays the current task ID.

•  Improved reliability when importing Virtual TimeClock 2 (Standard Edition) data files.

•  Reopening the main TimeClock window under Mac OS 9 now properly refreshes the window contents.
